Just In Time!

The stocking is done, just in time for Santa to fill it! I am so glad to be done with this, and Adrienne is thrilled that she now has her own stocking.

  1. Hi Carrie, i just wanted to let you know that this is fabulous!! I am so impressed!

Do you go back and do the backstitching at the end of all the stitching, or do it while you stitch in little sections at a time?

  2. Hi Stephanie,

It depends on the project. On really large ones, I tend to do it as I go. This is especially true if I am working on a scroll frame and I have to roll up the fabric after it is stitched, to get a new blank area to stitch. It is a pain to loosen the scroll rods, so I tend to do the backstitch as I go along so that I don’t have to go back. On smaller projects that fit entirely into a hoop, then I do it at the end.

    Happy stitching,
    Carrie

  3. I have been desperately searching for this pattern. Do you sell it? (I don’t care if I can get a kit I am happy just to have the pattern.)

  4. Hi Bettina,

This kit was in my stash for many years before I started stitching it. So it has been out of print for a long time. Unfortunately, I gave my pattern away to another stitcher after I was done with it. I have seen it on eBay. It is called Heavenly Herald Angel and it is by Dimensions. The price is really high, though, due to it being so hard to find. I am not aware of it coming in chart form, only as a kit.
